Stemming from the tragic loss of Chaim, Chaim Medical Resource was created in his memory and provides tremendous support and identification of resources for individuals and families dealing with overwhelming medical conditions. As a care-provider for some of these children, I want to thank Chaim Medical Resource for what it has done and continues to do to help families navigate the turbulent waters of the medical system, allowing them to focus their energies on the care of their loved ones with the confidence that they are obtaining the best that medical community has to offer. Congratulations to Shevy Kahan and Chaim Medical Resource for all you do.

I have personally had a wonderful time getting to know and caring for patients referred to us at Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology from Chaim Medical Resource. I have usually worked with Pessie Schlafrig there and it is obvious that she will go to the end of the earth to find the right option for each of the patients with whom she is working. The information she provides has made it easy to get back to her with the options we have available for each patient. It is a pleasure for us to work with Chaim Medical Resource.

You provide an invaluable bridge for your complex patients to receive care. Not only facilitating the initial transfer, but overseeing daily issues that happen when families are in unfamiliar environment and then transitioning back home. Your involvement makes a significant difference and is very unique. It is a privilege to be able to care for your children at Cincinnati Children’s. Thank you for the opportunity.

I want to take this opportunity to express my extreme gratitude for giving me the honor of being able to work with you and Chaim Medical Resource to offer patients suffering with brain tumors the best possible cutting edge and quality care. In my 30-year career of having treated more than 25,000 patients with brain tumors at prestigious Institutions such as Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard, the National Institutes and Health and the National Cancer Institute, I have had the opportunity to work with many different patient advocacy and patient referral services. With that long experience I can truly say that you and your organization provides one of the most supportive, helpful and knowledgeable services for care and support both to the patient and his/her family I have had the privilege of seeing. I congratulate you on the outstanding work that you do and look forward to many more years of close and powerful collaboration in our efforts to provide the best possible cutting edge, quality treatment and care for our patients with brain tumors.

As a medical provider and surgeon, I have come to closely experience the wonderful work that Shevy Kahan and Chaim Medical Resource perform for members of the community. The organization provides the absolute best of care and support to patients and their family members faced with a variety of medical conditions. It is very apparent that for Shevy Kahan and all her office staff, patients and their families always come first. I have been closely involved with several instances where they tirelessly work and devotion of the members of their team, be it day or night, has hugely benefitted and in many cases saved the lives of patients. Shevy and her team are devoted to patients and their families and are their staunch advocates. This selfless work has provided hope as well as avenues of cure and care to many patients and families that would otherwise not have been available to them. They are able to coordinate and facilitate the best of care for simple and complex medical conditions and even for the sickest of patients while serving as a great source of support for the family.

Chaim Medical Resources provides an invaluable service to families in need at a very difficult time in their lives. Its director has been through it all with her own son’s illness, and she knows how difficult it is to penetrate the dense medical hierarchy to obtain the best care. This is a wonderful organization worthy of support.

Specifically, Shevy Kahan, and her staff’s devotion to their work is evident by patients’ singing their praise when they visit us in the office. Although I performed over 15,000 joint replacements throughout my career, we have avoided more than 10x that total with non-operative options. I appreciate the incredible devotion and consultations from around the globe. Chaim Medical Resources offers outstanding completeness of care and facilitation ease.
